About the Team
We are a group of people just like you, with ups and downs, good and bad days. We always try to help each other in every aspect of life, no matter if one of us has family or personal issues or needs some career advice for growing professionally, both in and outside the company. We are a young and dynamic team who loves to stay up-to-date about the "next big thing", be it about the Internet, software, hardware or gadgets. More often that not, someone can come up with an idea that sounds crazy at first but that can turn into a future project.
Our Lunch
We like to have lunch as a group, but nobody is allowed to bring up work talk! If the weather is nice, we usually have lunch in our terrace, or at one of the millions (!) of restaurants and pubs in the Palermo Soho area.
- Our favorites? The excellent Irish pub "Wherever", pizza at "Romario´s" and getting Japanese food delivered.
- Time out! When someone wants to spend some quality time on their own, they are free to choose from any of the relaxing spaces at the office, or just go outside and take a walk.
Our Environment
Democratic music for everyone! All the speakers of the office are ran by “GFDD Radio”, a software designed and developed by two GFDDians (Zak and Demian) which allows everyone to add their own favorite songs to the ongoing playlist. Some days are tidier than others, but you can always plug your headphones in and listen to your own tunes.
We also have an internal Wiki (a.k.a. GFDD Insite) and our own forum (known as GFDD Lounge) that allows us to share thoughts, ideas, knowledge and other stuff.
Our After-Office Parties
Snacks, food, drinks and good music are always key ingredients in our special celebrations. Anyone can bring along friends, boyfriends, girlfriends, colleagues and family. To get a closer feeling, check out Flickr for some pictures of our on-site New Year party back in 2007.
Our Habits
We are a fun group of people, always ready to go to the movies, play soccer or organize a trip to the beach. We are known in the neighbourhood for our after-work ping-pong tournaments, for our ice-cream delivery rushes and for the strange milk-shakes that some of us dare to prepare!
